Homeless or threatened with homelessness?
If you are homeless or of losing your home, you can ask any local housing authority for help. Called making a homeless application.
You should seek help at the earliest possible opportunity - do not delay.
If you ask or help because you are already homeless, you may be referred to another local authority if you do not have a local connection to Torridge.
A local connection may be established through:
residence (6 out of the last 12 months or 3 out of the last 5 years)
employment
strong family connections
If you are fleeing domestic abuse, violence or threats of violence and are at risk, local connection may be disregarded.
