Housing Monitoring Dashboard

House icon

As part of the Council's responsibility for planning for the development of the area, it monitors the delivery of new housing. It tracks housing from when it is given planning permission, logging when it is under construction and then finally recording when it is completed.

We collate a range of detailed information about each individual dwelling, including its location (address, parish and ward), form (house, flat, bungalow, etc.), type (detached, semi-detached, terraced, etc.), size (number of bedrooms), tenure (affordable or open market) and other factors such as whether it is on green or brownfield land and even the number of parking spaces.

The dashboard below provides you with direct access to a range of this information, in the form of statistics for the District as a whole, across local areas and on a site-by-site basis. The dashboard is best viewed on a tablet, laptop or PC and we advise you to use the full screen mode to make it easier to view.

Further Information

Please note that the information provided through this dashboard comes directly from our monitoring data systems and may be subject to change and correction from time to time. Accuracy cannot be guaranteed and the data is used at your own risk.

The dashboard provides information on housing on sites from 2015 onwards and information is generally added on a monthly basis, approximately six weeks in arrears. Accordingly, there may be a delay in reporting on planning permissions or activity observed on an individual site.

Please note that some of the individual sites on the dashboard may have blank data associated within them. For the purposes of our internal monitoring we track both holiday and non-holiday accommodation on our database, but only provide details of non-holiday accommodation through this dashboard. This may result in 'blank' data being occasionally displayed for some sites.

Be aware that identification of commencement or completion of development through this dashboard does not constitute formal confirmation of such for the purpose of determining the legitimate implementation of a planning permission or for compliance with building regulation requirements.

Feedback

We are keen to ensure that this dashboard is useful and are committed to making improvements to it over time. If you have any feedback or have suggestions for improvements that you would to see made to the dashboard, please complete our short feedback form.
