Council Tax Information

Council Tax was introduced on the 1st April 1993 and replaced the Community Charge ("Poll Tax") with a tax based on the value of dwellings.

Each household has a liability to pay council tax, although in some cases exemptions or discounts apply.

Monday, Tuesday*, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9.00am to 4.30pm

* Phone lines closed on Tuesdays
