Councillor Doug Bushby unveils the winner of his 2024 'Design a Christmas Card' Competition

Councillor Doug Bushby, Chair of Torridge District Council, has announced Gwennie Berry as the winner of his 'Design a Christmas Card' Competition. 

The children at St Mary's Church of England Primary School were asked to submit a design for Councillor Bushby's email Christmas card.  The winning card will be sent out to fellow Councillors, Officers, and members of the Torridge community.

Councillor Bushby also awarded certificates to the following children whose submissions were shortlisted:

• Highly Commended - Emma Chick
• Second Prize - Eliza Eastman
• Third Prize - Georgia Newton

Councillor Doug Bushby, Chair of Torridge District Council said:

"Thank you to all those children who took the time to enter.  It was fantastic to have such an amazing selection to choose from, with each one bringing a touch of festive joy.  All the designs were lovely.  I want to thank all the children who entered this year's competition.  I hope they all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."
