Bideford Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) consultation - closes 3rd April
Torridge District Council are currently revising the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) made under section 59 of the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 ("the Act"). The PSPO restricts the consumption of alcohol in the street in specified areas, making this and certain other behaviours an offence. Someone breaching the PSPO can be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice, or prosecuted for the breach in the courts.
The current PSPO expires on 26 April 2024. It is proposed that an updated PSPO is put in place from 27 April 2024. The text of the proposed update can be found by clicking here Bideford PSPO Proposed Order 2024 (PDF, 421 KB).
