Flag at half-mast for former Torridge Councillor Pam Paddon

We are sad to hear of the passing of one of Torridge's former Councillors, Pam Paddon.

Pam was a long serving councillor elected in 1982 and continued to serve until stepping down in 2003. She was also Chair of the Council from 1994-95 and sat on numerous committees including:

• Development & Trading Services Committee
• Chair of the Housing Committee
• Standards Committee
• Plans Committee
• Torridge District Council / Bideford Town Council Liaison Committee

Jon Walter an officer at the Council said: "Pam was a lovely person and a firm but fair councillor who was passionate about Bideford. She would always have a banter with me about her beloved Chelsea Football Club. Our thoughts and condolences go out to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed."

The council would also like to extend their condolences to Pam's family and friends and have lowered the flag at Riverbank House to half-mast in honour of her memory.
