TDC have opened a Consultation on the Public Space Protection Order for Dog Control Regulations in the District

Torridge District Council are currently revising the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) made under section 59 of the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 ("the Act"). The PSPO is concerned with dog control within the district. There are district-wide and specified area controls contained within the PSPO. It is an offence for people to breach the conditions contained within the PSPO. Someone breaching the PSPO can be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice, or prosecuted for the breach in the courts.
The current PSPO expires on 12 April 2025. It is proposed that an updated PSPO is put in place from 13 April 2025. The text of the proposed update can be found by clicking on the link below. This is being published in line with the requirements of section 72(4) of the Act.
