Street cleansing
We have cleansing teams based in Bideford, Appledore, Westward Ho!, Torrington and Holsworthy.
Our cleansing teams are responsible for the day-to-day Cleansing for Torridge including emptying the public litter and dog bins, litter picking pavements and public areas, sweeping roads and pavements, cleaning our public toilets and responding to fly tipping reports.

Environmental Hazards (Fly Tipping etc.)
Fly tipping is any waste which is dumped without authority. Torridge District Council has a responsibility to collect fly tipping from public land such as highways etc.
Dog fouling
In Torridge, it is an offence for a person in charge of a dog not to clean up immediately if the dog has fouled on public land.
