Request property information or copies of available building regulation documents
You can use this service to request:
- copies of building regulation completion certificates (this maybe subject to a charge of £20)
- other property information relating to if a building control application for works that have been received.
- other property information relating to if a building control competent persons notification that have been received.
- other property information relating to if an initial notice for works that have been received from a Registered Building Control Approver. (we can confirm if a initial notice has been received and status but not provide any documents or further information, this would need to be provided by the Registered Building Control Approver)
Please note:
- Records for projects completed more than 15 years ago are not available due to document retention policy.
- Unlike Planning files, Building control files are not publicly accessible records and information will not be released to third parties without written consent from the copyright owner.
- Any Plans/ Documents held remain the property of the original author/designer and this may not be the client/applicant for the project if they have instructed an agent to act on their behalf.
- Some information required may have been submitted as part of a planning application and available here
If your enquiry relates to a Local Land Charges search for the sale of a property this will need to be submitted via our land charges team information can be found here.
Any request related to land charges will be forwarded to be processed by them.
