Temporary Use Notices
A Temporary Use Notice (TUN) allows a premises to be used for gambling purposes on a temporary basis where there is no Premises Licence in force.
Overview
A TUN may only be granted to a person or company holding a relevant Operating Licence issued by the Gambling Commission.
A premises may be used under a TUN for a maximum of 21 days in any calendar year. The Notice must be given to the licensing authority at least three months and one day before the event takes place.
Apply
To apply for a TUN you will need to:

- complete the application form Temporary Use Notice (PDF, 245 KB)
- pay the appropriate fee Fees and Charges
A copy of the Notice must be sent to:
• The Gambling Commission,
• The police, and
• HM Customs and Revenue
who have 14 days to object.
