Buying a Pay & Display Ticket
WARNING: Taking too long to complete the transaction may cause the machine to time out and reject the coins into the reject tray, if this happens you will need to start the process again from the beginning.
- RED button will cancel the transaction completely and allow you to start the process again.
- Enter your vehicle registration in to the Pay & Display machine Press the GREEN button.
- Select the amount of parking time that you require using the BLUE plus and minus buttons, on the machine. Press GREEN button.
- Check the screen to ensure all details are correct. If all details are correct, press the GREEN button to proceed.
- Insert payment
- Cash: Insert coin(s) into meter to amount required, a confirmation screen will appear then Press the GREEN button again.
- Card: For con tactless or Chip & Dip payments, Press the GREEN button again, and then insert or tap card.
- The machine will automatically issue a ticket when payment has been confirmed.
- Display ticket clearly on dashboard of vehicle showing date & expiry time, so it is visible from the front windscreen
Remember: Although the parking meters will accept overpayment, they will NOT give any change.
If you experience a problem making payment - please do NOT continue attempting to purchase a ticket but call the office on 01237 428981 (Mon-Fri 08:45 - 16:30).

A weekly parking ticket is available from the pay and display machines in all of the long stay car parks.
Tickets are NOT transferable between vehicles or car park locations.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE UNLESS A VALID PAY & DISPLAY TICKET OR CARD PAYMENT HAS BEEN PURCHASED.
