Community Grant Scheme 2018-19

Unfortunately the New Homes Bonus scheme is now fully subscribed and will re-commence on April1 2019.

The New Homes Bonus scheme is a grant funding scheme for local projects looking for support between £1000 and £10,000. Applications are welcomed for capital spending , but core organisational costs such as salaries, rent or utilities will not be eligible. A project must be run by a Local Parish or Town council, voluntary organisation, community group, social enterprise -but not individuals or businesses. Now in its third year the scheme has provided just under £800,000 to just over 100 projects ranging for sports clubhouses, to concert staging and festoon lighting! CRITERIA FOR THE PROJECT:

  • The funding isn't available for a project that has already been completed.
  • The funding is for applications between £1000 and a maximum of £10,000.
  • The project must be achievable within the funding timescales.
  • A Project must be within the Torridge area with funds to benefit residents of Torridge.
  • Organisations will only be eligible for a maximum allocation of £10,000 in total.
  • It must have the support of ALL relevant Local Ward Councillor(s) the ward information can be found here Postcode Finder
  • Does not require on-going revenue funding from TDC and has sound business planning in place if there is ongoing revenue requirement.
  • A Project must be run by a Local Parish or Town council, voluntary organisation, community group, social enterprise - not individuals or businesses.
  • The project has long-term impact.  Applications for capital spending will be considered, but core organisational costs such as salaries, rent or utilities will not be eligible.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ORGANISATIONS ALREADY IN RECEIPT OF NEW HOMES BONUS FUNDING ACCUMULATING £10,000 WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO RE-APPLY FOR FURTHER FUNDING.
