Free events at Northam Burrows this summer

Carousel Rockpool Ramble

The Rangers at Northam Burrows Country Park have once again prepared a programme of exciting free events for the school summer holidays. Beginning on the 23rd of July they will run every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon between 2-4pm, until the end of August.

Designed to engage visitors in the local environment and showcase the Burrows plant and wildlife diversity the events will include a rockpool ramble, seashore safari and guided plant walk.

Councillor Cheryl Cottle-Hunkin - Lead Member for Community, Culture and Leisure, said:

"We are so lucky in Torridge to have such amazing countryside surrounding us, as well as a beautiful coastline. Northam Burrows is the perfect place to start exploring, and the events run by the Ranger team are a great chance to get outdoors and learn about the local environment. Children and adults alike will enjoy the hands on experience of uncovering the amazing creatures and sea life that thrive in this protected environment and will learn about how we can protect them for future generations"
