Northam Burrows Free Family Easter Events

History Walk 2016

Northam Burrows Country Park will once again be hosting family friendly events during the school Easter Holidays. This is the perfect way to go outdoors, get closer to nature and learn about local history. Best of all they are absolutely free!

Come and join the Rangers for Rockpool rambling and swallow nest making. Dave Edgcombe will be leading another popular history walk, this time taking a look at Victorian Westward Ho! There will also be a chance to take part in The Great 'Easter' Eggcase Hunt with the North Devon Coast AONB's Coastal Creatures project. Looking for the eggcases of sharks, skates and rays, this is a great opportunity to contribute towards a nationwide survey and help protect these threatened species.

Councillor John Himan - Lead Member for Northam Burrows said:

"This is another great opportunity to discover more about the Burrows wildlife and its history and at the same time help contribute to the coastal creature's project survey. Its fun for all ages and a great way to get involved and explore the great outdoors. Come along and learn something new at these totally free events"
