le WB Yates sailing date, stone ship due, Balmoral due in August. ss Freshpring

le W B Yates the Ie 90 metre Irish naval patrol vessel is due to sail on the 19th July for final acceptance trials and her passage to Ireland.

Around the same time subject to finding a suitable ship, a stone cargo is expected for Yelland Quay.

mv BALMORAL the coastal pleasure ship is due for a special visit on Tuesday 16th August at 1645 hrs.

ss FRESHSPRING that has been offered a paying berth at TDC Bank End, Llandivisiau moorings has now been towed to Sharpness drydock by KML tug New Ross. Before being accepted at Bideford she will have her hull replated to maintain her floating condition for many more years and will continue with her renovation on deck after arrival. She had been granted a large grant to undertake this work. She will need an even larger grant to fully restore her seaworthy and self propelled condition.

The ship will be open to the public in organised groups perhaps as early as next year. She could be here on the 28th August.
