Torridge District Council prepared town based strategic site assessments, initially to inform the Pre-Publication North Devon and Torridge Core Strategy, with regard to potential growth areas. The Assessments which are provided below contain area based evaluations to identify and compare the suitability and sensitivity of sites around the main towns of Bideford, Great Torrington, Holsworthy and Northam for future development.
The Assessments examine such matters as: existing land uses, development opportunities and constraints, environmental characteristics and potential infrastructure capacity.
