Introduction

The purpose of a Housing Capacity Study is to identify land within urban areas that may be developed for residential purpose and thereby reduce the pressure to allocate new greenfield sites. The study has a base date of April 2004 considers the period 2001 - 2021.

The study was prepared by consultants  on behalf of the Council following the brief that is available for download below. The original contract to Chesterton was taken over by Scott Wilson in accord with a novation agreement.
