Additional Restrictions Grant For Businesses 2021

Update regarding Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) payments - one-off Discretionary Grant to be awarded to businesses not eligible for Restart Grants.

There have been several grant rounds covering specific periods up to 17.05.2021 when we moved to Step 3 in the roadmap to easing lockdown restrictions. Those businesses registered for Business Rates were also eligible for an additional Restart Grant.

We are pleased to confirm that we have received additional Government funding which means that we are now able to award a one-off Discretionary Grant to businesses that were ineligible for the Restart Grant. This payment is intended to help businesses that have either been told to close or were able to trade but have lost business because of the restrictions. Grant awards are discretionary and will be calculated on an individual basis, with payment amounts to be between £250 and £8,000.
