In line with new Government legislation, Torridge District Council will be introducing a 20% increase in planning fees from Wednesday 17th January 2018.

Planning applications submitted before 17th January and assessed as valid will not be subject to the increase.  However, anyone submitting a planning application which is and remains invalid up to 17th January will have to pay the increased fee.

Payment of Planning Fees

As of the 1st April 2016, we can accept payment in the following ways, please include a planning reference number or relevant address:

  • Cheque (made out to 'Torridge District Council')
  • Debit or Credit Card at the Reception at Riverbank House or over the phone or online when you submit on the Planning Portal (Call Planning Support on 01237 428711)
  • BACS - Our bank details are: Sort Code- 30-90-78, Account Number- 29541760, Account Name- "Torridge District Council - Receipts" (Customers should email remittance advice to julie.adams@torridge.gov.uk)
  • Online (coming soon)
